Negate For The Fun Of It!

I was reading my math textbook and I was relooking over the definition of a limit:

lim as x approaches a, f(x) approaches L
For all epsilon greater than zero, there exists delta greater than zero such that the absolute value of x-a is between zero and delta, implies the absolute value of f(x) - L is less than epsilon.

I just looked at it and began to recite the negation of the defintition.

Negation:
There exists an epsilon greater than zero, for all delta greater than zero such that the absolute value of x-a is between zero and delta, implies the absolute value of f(x) - L is less than epsilon.

Funny how the things taught in class, can instantly impact the way we look at math and other readings.

More math? D:

Thus far the material has been pretty intriguing.  Things are starting to pick up and the material is getting more advanced.  Negation, DeMorgan's law, distributing and commutative properties all share one common conniving thing - MATH! -dun- dun - dunnnn!

I have found a pretty interesting method of fighting this math related problem, which requires me to connect the missing pieces.  Once I found those pieces I believe the picture will become more clear.

165

After coming out of high school, I was confident in my math skills and abilities - Feeling like math made so much sense to me.  But NO MORE!  You can say my smiles deflated!  From that point on, i was going full out in my studies.  I spent hours reading and reading those math books, cramming every number, every symbol and every word into my head!  But, it still overwhelmed me.

Then 165 came along.  After taking 108, I just thought to myself - "Great! another programming course!".  But i was surprised.  The lecturer insisted that I will see math and english differently after taking this course.  After the first couple weeks I was quite impressed.  I believed math made a lot more sense to me.  Now everytime I see the variable x in a math textbook, I don't just see a letter - its a whole story.

My Journey

I don't exactly know where to begin. This journey of mine - challenging but extraordinary. There's no slowing down. I overcome one obstacle, then another arises. I know it's overwhelming but hey, this is reality and this is the dream I live in.
